What Shotgun Mike Should I Buy?

I am looking for a shotgun mike to film scenes outdoors and indoors.I'm on a budget but I don't want to buy a cheaper mike when I could spend a little more for QUALITY.
The camera that I'm using is the Canon XH-A1, which has two XLR inputs. I am having trouble deciding if I should get an XLR output microphone or a 1/8 in. output one.
Some options I have looked at:
RODE VideoMic Directional Camcorder Microphone: $140.00

Azden Barrell Shotgun Mic With XLR Outputs: $152.08

Audio Technica ATR-55 Condenser Shotgun Microphone: $48.98 (Cheap, but no XLR)

I use a NRG Research SA-568 switchable and a Sabra SMM-1 universal shock mount and a RODE dead cat wind muff.

You may need to make some modifications to the shock-mount to boom-pole mounting. I usually mount the mic to my camcorder, so I traded the accessory shoe base on one of the mic-clips that came with the SA-568 and now I mount the shock mount to a camcorder camera bracket accessory shoe.

If you use a boom pole, the cable run will be at least 20 feet, so you want to use XLR (and balanced cables) to minimize the potential for picking up electromagnetic interference.
