help build an air rifle?
im gonna start a ping-pong ball 80yds (i was gonna make a golf ball because its most severe, but fit snugly in any of the PVC used in the Warehouse at home. I can wait a ping pong ball and add some foam or glue from a hot glue gun to make it heavier so it flies straight). im gonna pump it with my bicycle pump (i already got a valve in the air trap reservoir and another for his release when i want to shoot) how big (volume) should be air my reservoir, and how long it takes to make my barrel? (ive been trying for a while long to make calculations, but keeping stuck: - /) i really need to calculate (this is a school project) so if you can post * why * i have x-volume and x-length of barrel and tank that would help me a bunch * *------ but only a general consensus on how big should be very useful

Well, I have done already all math / physics to you from my last potato top built! I have an excel based program that can e-mail you if you want. I'te real user friendly and all formulas of physics are already programmed. place in barrel length, diameter, pressure, etc., and it gives you all the cool stuff like muzzle velocity, distance traveled, etc.
