I noticed when I purchased the Walther PPS 9mm pistol, There is no external safety. Does it work like any oth?
I noticed when I purchased the Walther PPS 9mm pistol, There is no external safety. Does it work like any other double action auto in the sense that the first shot is harder to pull the trigger back, while the next rounds need a much lighter pull? And if so, what keeps the gun safe if you holster the weapon right after firing a few rounds. and other DA auto I've ever owned had an external safety that disconnected the trigger. I've read the manual this gun comes with, but it doesn't explain this subject very clearly. Can you give me an explanation even I can understand? Thanks!

If I am correct it will have a two peice trigger that has a liitle peice of plastic that unless you deliberatley pull the trigger it will stop the trigger going back. On top of that I also would expect it to have a heavy trigger pull weight. 9-11lbs. That is what gun makers do with a handgun with no saftey. They add it in with the trigger and increase the pull weight by double or more. So every shot will have a heavy pull.
If you carry it you don't really put you finger oin the trigger until ready to shoot do you?
